Narrative
My Time in
the Air Force and with National Medical Enterprises involved the acquisition, installation,
maintenance of medical equipment and support functions necessary to keep a large hospital
online and operational. I was honorably discharged from the USAF upon
completion of my tour at Keesler, AFB in Biloxi, MS.
At 23 years
old, I was given the opportunity to become the project manager for the
construction finalization, equipping and launch of a 200 bed civilian hospital
in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.
In 1985 I
returned to the Seattle area and began a successful career in residential real
estate. I worked for many years with John L Scott, a large and prestigious
regional firm. I was successful as a salesperson, acquired my broker license in
the minimum amount of time required, became a sales and marketing trainer within
the JLS system and eventually took over management of the company’s Lynnwood
Branch as the youngest manager ever at the firm.
We grew the
Lynnwood branch from 35 to 75 Agents in the Mid 90’s and went from regular
annual losses to consistent profitability.
In 1996 I
launched WCG, Inc to further my training, coaching and consulting reach beyond
the John L Scott sphere of influence.
In 1998 I
left JLS management to pursue other opportunities and to spend more time with
my growing family. I remained with John L Scott until 2000.
In 2000 I
joined Keller Williams Realty working closely with local leaders to grow the
Northwest Region from one office in Bellevue to many offices located throughout
Puget Sound. I acquired ownership in three local franchises – North Seattle,
Lynnwood and Bellingham. I sold my interest in all three offices between 2007 –
2009 in order to finance and focus on the launch of Realty Operating &
Control Services;
ROCS, LLC was a training and marketing services company focused
on real estate.
Allpoints Marketing is a consolidated version of the ROCS concept applied to small business and private practice clientele.
In 2011 I
joined The Home Depot and have worked on the management team at the Woodinville,
WA store as a supervisor in both Merchandising and Operations. My most recent
assignment was overseeing the operation and growth of the largest Home Depot
Tool Rental Center in the Pacific Northwest Region where my team grew the
operation more than 20% in the past year.
I've always believed it is not where you start, but more where you want to end up, that matters most. I am looking for a career change. One that allows me to use my acquired skills to the fullest. I work well within a team dynamic. I can take direction, I can give direction and I can think on my feet to problem solve when the situation calls for it. I want to make a difference, I want my input to matter. I would like to associate myself and my skills with a growing, dynamic and thoughtful oganization.
If any of this seems like a fit... Let's talk.
